This was a plantation house I created for a short film I'm currently working on (used in portfolio by permission of the director). It is based off of the Oak Alley Plantation House in New Orleans, Louisiana. The main challenge I faced was getting it out to Maya, since it was to be shaded in Maya. I ended up learning a lot about strings to get the path attribute for alembics to work to allow for relatively painless export to Maya. I did a quick breakdown about the path attribute in Houdini here.
